Beaufort County homeowners should have already received their reassessment in the mail. Let’s explore what this reassessment notice means and what you can do if you disagree with it.
Like many others I’ve been hearing from, you may have recently received a Beaufort County reassessment notice and have questions about it. So today, I’ll go through what this is and answer some of your questions and concerns.
Beaufort County assesses properties in a few different ways. The most common way is an assessable transfer of interest, also simply known as the sale or retitling of a property. Typically when a home is purchased, that purchase price is used to value the property, which is adjusted in the subsequent year of ownership.

It’s my favorite time of year in the Low Country! The weather is gorgeous and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. This year, we want to give thanks to you for your support, your business, and your referrals by taking care of your pie-baking duties.
To do this, we’re going to be hosting a Thanksgiving pie giveaway on November 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oscar Frazier Park. We’ll have custom, made-to-order apple and pecan pies for you and your family to enjoy, as well as a free lunch for you from Downtown Deli. In addition, we’ll be having a raffle giveaway where you’ll be able to win a new iPad, an Apple Watch, or a Yeti Cooler.
Feel free to bring along other family, friends, or neighbors that you think we should meet because we’ll have pies for them as well!
