As you prepare to sell your home, you’ll also need to prepare for a home inspection. To shorten the list of items requiring attention, there are a few simple but invaluable things you, as the seller, can do ahead of time. Today I’ll list 10 preparatory tips for different areas of the home. You can also download this handy guide here.
1. Heating and Air Conditioning. Have your heating and air conditioning serviced, and be sure to tell your HVAC technician that you are selling your home and it will be undergoing an inspection. Ask that they do a thorough inspection of the system and ductwork and provide a written statement of the completed work and that the system is operational.
2. Lighting. Be sure that all interior and exterior lights are working. Although it’s not a seller’s responsibility to replace light bulbs, if the light does not turn on during an inspection, the inspector does not replace bulbs and it is the responsibility of the seller to d ...

The Bluffton Rotary Annual Oyster Roast is coming up and you’re invited! Our team is proud to host this great event each year. The roast will take place on Saturday, February 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bluffton Oyster Factory.
As always, all proceeds will go back into the community. We hope you’ll join us for an evening of friends, fun and, of course, oysters.
Tickets are going to go fast, which is why we’re giving 10 lucky people the chance to secure a spot for free. The first 10 people to either refer a friend using this form or to write us a 5-star review on Google, Facebook, or Zillow will receive a free ticket to the roast.
You can also purchase a ticket online for $35 here, or buy a ticket at the door for $40. In any case, we look forward to seeing you there.
If you have any other questions or would like more information, feel free to give us a call or send us an email. We’ll see you at the Oyster Roast!

Beaufort County homeowners should have already received their reassessment in the mail. Let’s explore what this reassessment notice means and what you can do if you disagree with it.

Beaufort County assesses properties in a few different ways. The most common way is an assessable transfer of interest, also simply known as the sale or retitling of a property. A lesser known way of assessment is through a county-wide assessment, which is the notice you’ve recently received. These updated values are as of Dec. 31, 2017, and you’ve most likely seen your value increase quit ...

It’s my favorite time of year in the Low Country! The weather is gorgeous and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. This year, we want to give thanks to you for your support, your business, and your referrals by taking care of your pie-baking duties.
To do this, we’re going to be hosting a Thanksgiving pie giveaway on November 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oscar Frazier Park. We’ll have custom, made-to-order apple and pecan pies for you and your family to enjoy, as well as a free lunch for you from Downtown Deli. In addition, we’ll be having a raffle giveaway where you’ll be able to win a new iPad, an Apple Watch, or a Yeti Cooler.
Feel free to bring along other family, friends, or neighbors that you think we should meet because we’ll have pies for them as well!
This isn’t a formal event and you’re free to come and go as you please.
